What is an escape room
An escape room is a physical, themed adventure game in which players must work together to solve a series of puzzles using clues, hints, and strategy to complete the objectives at hand.
Players are given a set time limit to unveil the secret plot which is hidden within the rooms. The time limit to escape is 60 minutes for all our rooms, except for our Friendsgiving diamond room which features a 75-minute time limit.
How long do I have to escape
All rooms are 60 minutes to escape! 75 minutes for the Friendsgiving diamond room + Bonus Round.
Do I need a reservation? How do I book
Yes, a reservation is strongly recommended to guarantee that your desired room is available. You can reserve your slot in advance, and we also offer same-day bookings up to 2 hours before game time.
To book a room, please use our online booking system by clicking BOOK NOW in the top right corner of our website (groups of 4+). For a group of 2-3, please give us a call to book at 587-430-0880.
Do you accept cash payments for bookings?
Yes! We accept cash, debit, and credit (Visa/Mastercard) when paying for your booking. However, a credit card is needed for a hold when booking, whether through our online booking system or over the phone.
How much do the rooms cost?
- Classic Rooms – $42.99 per guest – traditional, lock-and-key style puzzles.
- Premium Rooms – $43.99 per guest – cinematic design, advanced technology, higher build quality.
- Diamond Rooms – $45.99 per guest – 40% more puzzles, 75 minutes of play, immersive stories and sets.
Will we be paired with strangers if our group is small?
All reservations are private, meaning the experience is reserved exclusively for your group.
Are we really locked in a room?
It depends on your mission. Some rooms are all about solving the mystery with a unique escape, while others involve solving the mystery and unlocking the door. Do not worry, though! Any room that has a locked exit door contains an internal button/key to unlock the door from the inside. As well, games are closely monitored and staff can assist you at any time.
Will I feel claustrophobic inside the room?
Most of our guests do not. Our rooms are thoughtfully designed to feel open and comfortable, not cramped or confined. There are available exit mechanisms within the room and our team is always watching to make sure everyone feels safe and at ease. If you have any concerns prior to starting your game regarding claustrophobia, please notify our staff before your game and we will be on standby.
What is your cancellation policy & refund policy?
In order to cancel a room booked for gameplay only, you must call at least 48 hours before the scheduled booking. If you have paid a deposit, it will not be refunded, but the deposit will be placed on file and can be used at a later date. If you are looking to cancel a corporate event, please see the Corporate Event FAQ section at the end of the corporate catering guide.
What time should I arrive for my booking?
We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes before your booking. If your group is interested in having drinks prior to your game, we recommend arriving 30-60 minutes before your booking.
Do you offer on-site parking?
We offer 26 complimentary on-site parking stalls. Guests may park in any available spot, even if it does not have an Escape60 sign. We kindly ask guests not to park in stalls marked ‘Alberta Beer Exchange.’ Additional complimentary 2 hour street parking is available on surrounding streets.
Are you accessible via public transportation?
Yes! We are located next to the Sunalta C-Train station. As well, the Calgary Transit bus route 90 has stops along 10th Ave SW where we are located.
Are your rooms wheelchair accessible?
Yes, our Sunalta location is wheelchair accessible. Please call for accessible room options.
Can I bring my cell phone in the room?
No we do not permit the use of cell phones in any of the rooms. All cell phones and picture taking device will be locked safely in lockers before the start of the game.
Is there an age limit?
No, but we recommend having at least one adult in the room for any children under 10 years old.
Can I buy a gift card
Gift cards are available! They can be purchased at our store front location: 1638 10th Ave SW or online.
What if I need to use the washroom during the game?
Our facility has washrooms on-site, but not in the rooms. Any room that has a locked exit door contains an internal button/key to unlock the door from the inside, which can be used to exit the room and use the washroom.

What’s the difference between Game Play Only and the Full Experience?
- Gameplay only:
- Kids enjoy a thrilling 60-minute escape room adventure.
- Ideal for families looking for a budget-friendly and high-energy activity.
- Parents are welcome to hang out in our licensed lounge while the kids enjoy the game.
- Full experience:
- Includes everything in the gameplay option, plus food, drinks, reserved party space (depending on package), and optional add-ons.
- Best for parents who want a stress-free, all-in-one event – you just show up and we handle the rest.

Is food included? Can we bring our own?
- With Full Experience packages, food and drinks are included and selected from our Kids/Teen Catering Guide – including pizza, snack bundles, juice, and more. We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests with advance notice.
- Outside food is not permitted, except for desserts such as cakes or cupcakes.
- Want to bring your own cake or dessert?
- Absolutely! There is a $25 Cake & Dessert Service, which covers:
- Plates, cutlery, and napkins
- Cake-cutting and after-event cleanup
- Use of our on-site fridge and/or freezer for dessert storage
- This add-on can be applied to any event type, whether you are booking Gameplay only or the Full Experience. For additional information on the Cake & Dessert Service, please see our Kids/Teen Catering Guide.
Can we rent a party room?
- Yes! Depending on which birthday package you choose, a private party space is automatically reserved for your group – perfect for cake, presents, or food service.
- Room rental pricing per hour (Grand Hall or Vault)
- Sunday to Thursday: $150.00
- Friday & Saturday: $200.00
- If you’re booking for a Game Play Only package but still want a party space, you can add a room rental, subject to availability.
How many kids can play in one room? Can they all go together?
- Each escape room accommodates up to 6–8 players, depending on the theme.
- For larger groups (10 – 16 guests), we have 4 rooms that can host up to 12 people at one time. Also, we recommend booking multiple rooms and running them side-by-side.
- We’ll help split the kids by age or friend groups to keep the games fair and fun.
Are the escape rooms age-appropriate? Will the kids be scared or confused?
- We have kid-friendly escape rooms designed specifically for ages 8–14 with fun, age-appropriate puzzles and a lighthearted atmosphere.
- No horror, gore, or adult themes. Our team is trained to offer hints and encouragement to keep the game fun and frustration-free.
Do we need to provide adult supervision?
- For groups of kids under 10, we recommend one adult or older teen per room for support.
- Alternatively, we can provide a dedicated Game Host (add-on option) to guide and monitor the group if you’d prefer a drop-off experience. This is no additional charge for this add on.
Can we hang out while the kids play?
Absolutely! We have a cozy lounge and fully licensed bar area where adults can relax with a cocktail, coffee, or mocktail while the kids are in the game. It’s a mini break for parents too.
What’s included in the Full Experience package?
The Full Experience is designed to make your child’s birthday fun, easy, and stress-free for parents. Here’s what’s included:
- Escape Room Game(s) – Age-appropriate adventures guided by our game hosts
- Reserved Party Space – A private area for food, cake, and gifts (included with package or available as an add-on for some events)
- Food & Drink Options – Choose from our Kids Catering Guide, including pizza, snacks, juice, and more
- Setup & Cleanup – We handle everything so you don’t have to
- Hands-Off Parent Experience – Sit back, relax in our lounge, or enjoy a drink while we keep the kids entertained
We also offer a “Snack Pack” bundle that’s great for mid-range budgets – it’s our most popular off-menu item!
Can we bring decorations?
Yes! Table decorations can be brought in and placed in the party room; however, we do not allow anything to be hung from the walls or ceiling.
How do we book?
- Easy! Just call us at 587-430-0880 to secure your date with a deposit.
- You can also email us at bookings@escape60.ca for a custom quote or help choosing the right option based on your group size and needs.
What’s your cancellation or reschedule policy?
- We require a deposit to secure your booking, deposits are non-refundable and transferable only with 5 days notice before the event. Completed birthday invoices/payments can be disputed and reviewed within 10 business days of the event date. While we review every case, refunds are not guaranteed.
- You can reschedule with at least 5 days notice, based on availability.
- Final guest count and food selections must be confirmed 2-5 days before the event.

How do I choose the right room for my child’s age?
Simply let us know the average age of the kids, and we’ll recommend the best rooms to match their experience level and group dynamics. We have several rooms that are ideal for first-time players, younger children, or mixed-age parties.

Do parents need to sign a waiver?
- Yes — all players must have a completed waiver before participating in any escape room experience.
- Waivers can be signed in advance online through the link provided in your confirmation email.
- For kids under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver. We recommend sending the link out to parents ahead of time to save time at check-in.
Is exclusive venue rental available to ensure privacy?
- We offer full-facility or specific area rentals to guarantee absolute privacy for your group. Our lockers are located in a shared space for convenience, but each group is assigned an individual, private locker to safely store their belongings during the experience. Reach out to our booking team for details on availability and tailored pricing to suit your privacy requirements.
